The Penobscot Building was located at the financial district of Detriot. At one time before the great depression, this district was hopping to become the "Wall Street" of the Midwest.

I wonder who designed the Penobscot Building? I looked it up--Wirt C. Rowland of Smith Hinchman and Grylls in 1928. He also did the Guardian Building.

Construction workers who built this building also worked on the Empire State Building which was built a couple years later!
